A friend recently bought Rachel and I “The Scurlock Studio and Black Washington: Picturing the Promise” and I have to say that it is an absolutely beautiful book.

Last night Sen. Barak Obama was elected 44th President of the United States. At 11pm when the race was finally called for Obama I witnessed a first for me anyway – people took to the streets in celebration.

I have been slowly adding photos to my photo blog but, it does get updated every once in a while. So if you would like to check it out please have a look.

I went to the Ansel Adams exhibit today over at the Corcoran. It was actually a pretty interesting exhibit as it was not exactly what I had expected. Ansel Adams is obviously known for his beautiful and perfectly executed photos of nature but there where a couple of surprises in his shots of New York [...]
